Need help with Kingston Data Traveler 64GB USB?

test mac os
hikari_dreamer asked:

I just got this USB and started using it for the first time today, and I’m afraid I may have wrecked it somehow. I use a Mac OS X, which is compatible. I got a little trigger happy with loading a bunch of files at once, and then it froze, giving me the waiting color wheel. Finally, it went through. I tested the files, and they work. After that, I tried moving smaller file portions, but it got stuck again. What’s more, my computer stopped doing anything. I had to turn it off. I was concerned about the flash drive then, but when I checked it again, all the files were fine and intact except the ones it was loading at the time. I got one more folder on without any problems, but then it froze again with the next data transfer. I’ve now had to repeat this freeze/shutdown process three times. It will no longer take even a single file. It is not a storage issue, as there is still 62GB available. What’s causing the problem? Can someone please help me with this? I’m very concerned.

It shouldn’t Be the USB. have you installed all the appropriate drivers? (I don’t use a mac, but i assume its the same as a PC) That might help it to run better. Maybe try it on a different computer, see if it works.

There are at least two possible causes to that:
First. the USB driver might not have been installed properly, though this case is rare since USB is supported.
Second, there might be compatibility issue with the format of your flash drive, so maybe try reformatting the flash drive to a more appropriate format.
