I run Windows 2003 and when I try to install Windows tells me that the program is not tested with my version of windows and basically says my system will explode if I install it. Is it really a big risk to install it? I would have thought that since it was 2000 certified it would be 2003 certified…

Also, I tried printing a test page like the guy at the store did to see if it could print double sided like I saw him do it, but the printer only spat out a one sided page. Any ideas?
oh and I’ve already researched the manual, the website, the FAQs and the tech email is down for the morning…any other ideas?

The printer manual tells me that printing a test page will contain the IP address for the printer, but it seems to be just a load of code and no clear IP address i.e. nothing with ***.xxx.x.x is displayed. I tried a test to prove that the printer is communicating with the Mac. I pressed the scan button on the printer and the scan DOES appear on the PC. So I know they’re talking to each other. But it doesn’t want to print anything. There is a “start job and stop job” feature on the Mac, which can be accessed, but that window isn’t always available, why I don’t know. When I do see it, I always press “start job” but it doesn’t seem to help. The printer still won’t start.

So here I sit with a brand new printer that won’t print. Please note, I’m a complete novice, so any answer will have to lead me by hand as to how to resolve this problem.
