I have googled and found a few programs and solutions to test the size of a flash drive using a PC, but can’t find anything to do it using a Mac.
Is there anything out there? Has my Mac finally let me down?

i was testing out a mac at bestbuy the other day and the graphical environment performs just as studery as in windows. i slowly move windows under the bottom bar in circular motions and just like in windows it studers. so excactly why are people spending their months paycheck on a mac for. for that price i expect for everything to run at a constant 30+ fps at 100% of the time.

Good day, fine internet! Two problems.

1. A DVD+R disc is stuck inside my mac laptop. It can’t be ejected with the eject button, and an icon never showed up on the desktop.

2. This particular Magnavox DVD+R and every other one of that type/brand I’ve burned recently (using a Windows laptop and Infrarecorder) seem not to be able to be correctly read by any computers in this house. When they didn’t work I just pulled them out of my desktop and the laptop when testing, but one of them got stuck in the mac.

How do I remove the disk from my mac?

How do I get these other burned disks to work? I put a lot of personal data on them that I kind of need.
Okay, never mind the stuck disk part. That’s been taken care of via the Terminal.

Now just tell me why none of these disks are reading properly, although I’ve been burning other disks fine? Much appreciated.

I keep being sent e-mail messages from various companies claiming that I can test and keep a free laptop, blackberry, or other electronic device. Since, I’ve been told that most if not all of these offers are scams I tend not to open the messages. But, because I’m curious, are there any legitimate offers by companies to test and keep a Mac or PC laptop? If there are, where can one do this?

5. Ubuntu Linux

I use my computer mainly for Online Gaming, sometimes testing new programs, watching movies, word processing etc etc.

My Computer Specs:

CPU: 2.4 GHz Quad Core
RAM: 4 GB (so if i install a 32bit, it wont be fully using 4 GB =( )

I did a port test at http://www.whatsmyip.org/ports/. I don’t why all the ports are TIMEOUTED. I’m not using a router and my computer is hooked up directly into the modem. The firewall on my mac is set to ALLOW ALL INCOMING CONNECTIONS. Why can’t I have my ports opened ? Can anybody help me please? I need to use emule and torrent.
