I downloaded a trial version of CandyBar from download.com. I just heard about it from some people and wanted to test it out. Anyway, when I clicked “Apply Application Icons” after entering some random icons that I liked, it said that the action wouldn’t take place until I logged out and back into my computer account. So, I did. The icons showed up on my dock just fine.
I thought it was pretty cool but immediately wanted to switch back to my original icons because like I said before, CandyBar was only something I wanted to try out.
But now whenever I open the application, another window pops up and it says: “This version of CandyBar is not qualified for Mac OS X 10.5.2, but an update may be available that is. You may ether ignore this warning, or update CandyBar.” But then it says that No updates are available at this time– and the only Option is quit. And when I click that, well, the application obviously quits.
So now I can’t restore my icons.. Help?
Sorry this question is so long–
I didn’t know how to explain it in any other way.
I’m not exactly a smart techie, so please try to dumb your words down for me! Thanks!

You did a good job of writing up your question. I assume that you went through the steps to uninstall. The problem you are seeing suggests that some CandyBar files are still on your machine. Try searching for them and remove them individually. Then restart and see if the problem persists. If so, you might try posting your question on one of the Apple support forums to see if others have experienced the same.
Hope this helps.
